This is a video overview of the first post-lockdown workshop at the re-opened Barbican Centre on 1 October 2020. The artists featured are from Accumulate, the art school for the homeless. And it was facilitated by the Barbican and Headway East London, a charity supporting people affected by brain injury.
It shows a safe-distance workshop we held using a wax monoprinting method I devised in the Headway East London art studio to make the process easy for everyone and low cost. It features images from the recent Barbican exhibition ‘Masculinities: Liberation Through Photography’. For a more instructional video, go to Cut-Price Portraits With Billy on You Tube and have fun making great pictures.
