A massive cash windfall is a common daydream. With tons of money to spend and share, where to prioritise? House, car, flash clothes and food?
I’d have no hesitation in pumping spare currency into the Barbican’s conservatory, if only because I think its mere existence is something to be thankful for. It has just reopened to visitors who are prepared to book, arrive on time and conduct themselves in an orderly and respectful manner, with face coverings.
Lost in its wild vegetation and pondlife, you can easily dream of a better world for all, where humankind and all other living species stroll happily in each other’s company.
