Do you practice religion?

Only when I’m angry

At least that is how I wanted to answer this question on noticing that once again Our Host hosts a forced marriage of verbs and nouns. Had I wanted to be serious about this matter I would have answered the question DO YOU PRACTISE RELIGION? But since the US language imperialists use PRACTICE as a verb, when it has a perfectly good job as a noun (dental practice, piano practice), I am inclined to be facetious. So no, I don’t PRACTICE religion. And I don’t PRACTISE one either. I had intended to expand on my short answer by scratching out a lengthy thesis with the title IS RELIGION THE POLITICS OF FAITH? But I’m too angry now, so hey ho, each to their own, be nice, etc.
